Eco-Femme Cloth Sanitary Pads (CSP)

Eco Femme is a global women's empowerment project, promoting menstrual practices that are healthy, dignified, affordable and eco-positive. Rural Indian womens collectives stitch these pads, which are then ethically traded - available to Indian women at cost price to be affordable, and sold internationally to help sustain and fund the project. By choosing Eco Femme products, you are supporting this valuable and worthwhile project.  In addition, for every pad sold, a pad is donated via the Eco Femme Pad for Pad program to a needy Indian girl who otherwise would be going without.

The pads are backed with a colourful print fabric to co-ordinate with the top flannel - this print may vary from that shown in the image. Use the pad plain side towards your skin. Each Pad comes packaged with full instructions, and all packaging is recycled.  Price is for a single pad. With care, your Eco Femme pads should last you for several years, giving a significant cost and waste saving over disposable products. 

Day Pad: This Day Pad is designed for daytime using throughout your period, and features a comfortable soft cotton flannel top side, in dark pink, with 5 layers of absorbency, plus a hidden PUL (polyurethane laminate) layer for leakproofing.  The Day pad measures approximately 21.5cm long x 6cm. 

Day Pad Plus: Longer than the day pad, shorter than the night pad, the new day pad plus from Eco Femme is an ideal choice for your heavier days, giving you extra protection and absorbency when you need it most. As with the rest of the range, the pad is made in one colour only, the top cotton flannelette layer is purple, and the underneath backing layer is a co-ordinating stripe. Inside are 6 layers of absorbent cotton and a layer of PUL for leak prevention.  The pad fastens underneath with a single popper.

Night Pad: A longer length pad for use at nights or when you have a heavy flow.  The pad consists of a comfortable top layer of cotton flannel (dusky red), with 7 layers of fabric for absorbency, a layer of PUL (polyurethane laminate) hidden inside, and a colourful co-ordinating backing layer. The longer length pad is ideal for nights and also helpful for anyone with a heavy flow. Each night pad measures approximately 30cm long x 7.5cm wide (max 11.5cm where it flares at the back).
